Update 1.4.0c: Native Linux Support
Native Linux support:
Linux is now NATIVELY supported!
There are still some issues with UI particles, which were causing the Linux build to crash. I’ve temporarily disabled them across all platforms while working on a cleaner fix for both platforms so everyone can have the same experience.
Previously, the game was checked as "Linux" even though it wasn’t running natively on linux, it was only tested with Proton (where it actually ran fine on Steam Deck). This was a mistake on my part, and I want to apologize to anyone who downloaded it expecting a proper native version. That was never meant to be misleading.
The good news: With the update from 4.26 to Unreal Engine 5.3, the native build process went smoother than expected (still required a full day of work lol), those days spent fixing the 5.3 migration really paid off!
Thank you for your patience, and I hope the native Linux will meet your expectations.
Do not hesitate to give feedback on this linux version.
